I’m a Viet 🇻🇳 lettering artist, illustrator, and author of How to be a Rule-Breaking Letterer. Known on the internet for my pink pastel palette and wiggly lettering with quirky messages, I enjoy making the world colorful with brands like Facebook, Canon, LG, Cotton Natural, and more.
After 10 years of working as a graphic designer for other companies to fulfill the Asian good girl role (you know, the one about getting a college degree and settling for a stable job), I still feel something is missing. But then, digital lettering came into the picture, and after 2 years of self-taught as a hobby, I leaped freelance full-time.
The creative journey can get lonely, so I want to help other artists by sharing freelance and digital art tips on my social media and blog. As an Asian woman, I also want to inspire other female Asian artists to embrace their heritage and stand against social expectations.
I enjoy spending time with my fluffy Bibo when not doodling on my iPad and creating content. And when not with Bibo, I love pole dancing, nom nom at new restaurants, traveling, and sending silly memes to friends.
I grew up in Vietnam and now live in Los Angeles, where everyone thinks they’re a star, but I stay for the sunshine.
